Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Tigh misses
and Ruud counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ruud.
Ruud wants to pass the guard but Tigh is keeping the position.
Tigh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tigh tries to get out of the position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ruud jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tigh is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tigh and Ruud has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The strikes coming from Ruud are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Tigh is trying to get back to half guard.
Ruud wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tigh, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Ruud wants to stand but Tigh is controlling his arm.
Tigh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruud on the ground.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ruud tries for a takedown but Tigh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Ruud counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tigh!
Ruud tries to control but Tigh wriggling away.
Ruud tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tigh is trying to reverse the position but instead Ruud has taken his back - oops!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ruud somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
I would not like to be Tigh right now.
A lull in the action here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ruud is looking for the choke from the back position but Tigh is controlling his hands well.
Ruud thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Tigh rolls, trying to escape but Ruud keeps control of the position.
Ruud is looking for a choke. Tigh gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Tigh manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Ruud has his foot on Tigh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tigh works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ruud is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ruud pushes Tigh off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Lars Ruud showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Tigh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ruud wants to pass the guard but Tigh is keeping the position.

Ruud gets to his feet. Tigh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Ruud makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Ruud tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tigh swivels and escapes.

Lars Ruud comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ruud has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
