Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armen Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nycky Downtime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Armen Hammer! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Downtime darts in and clinches Hammer up against the cage. Downtime is trying to force a seperation but Hammer has the dominant position. Nice elbow from Hammer. Downtime wants to stall.
Hammer tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hammer lands a knee to the head.

Downtime is rocked! Hammer misses with a knee strike.
Oh Downtime is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hammer drops Downtime with a big knee straight up the middle! Downtime is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
It looks like Nycky Downtime has been cut. Downtime darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Downtime wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammer keeps working. Hammer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Downtime. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hammer is trying to stand.
Downtime seems to have got his legs back now. Downtime not landing any meaningful shots this time. Downtime seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hammer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hammer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Downtime is working for a kimura here but Hammer manages to reverse the position and he's now in Downtime's guard.
Downtime has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Downtime throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Downtime is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Downtime's guard. Downtime is trying to control the position but Hammer postures up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Downtime is controlling Hammer's posture. Hammer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Nycky Downtime wasn't doing enough on the ground. Downtime is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Downtime fails with the takedown. Hammer moves into the clinch. Hammer throws a knee to the head but misses.
Downtime looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hammer tries a knee to the head but Downtime blocks it.

Downtime ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Downtime no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Downtime is trying to keep Hammer in close.
Hammer wants to control from the top but Downtime keeps moving. Downtime had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hammer defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hammer wants to get up but he can't break Downtime's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hammer slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Downtime is just riding it out for now. Hammer eventually gives up the hold. Downtime moves into full guard.
Downtime has his foot on Hammer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hammer works his way back into a safe position though. Downtime has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Downtime is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammer advances position into side control! Downtime wants to control but Hammer postures up. Downtime is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Downtime trying to remain calm as Hammer controls from the top position. Hammer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Downtime sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nycky Downtime will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nycky Downtime's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hammer throws a nice looking combination but Downtime bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Downtime throws a left that rocks Hammer and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Downtime dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Hammer regain composure!

It looks like Armen Hammer has been cut. Hammer is trying to improve his position. Downtime has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hammer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Downtime yanks on the arm and Hammer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Downtime.
