Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Calderon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manuel Calderon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Peterson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson stuffs the takedown attempt from Calderon. Calderon gets slowly back to his feet. Peterson throws a body punch but Calderon moves out of range. Sid Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Calderon shoots in for a double leg but Peterson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Peterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Calderon circles away quickly and effectively. Calderon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Nice straight punches there by Peterson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Peterson.
Calderon is rocked! Calderon dives in and grabs Peterson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes down on Calderon's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manuel Calderon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peterson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Peterson drops Calderon with a big left hand and mounts him. Calderon is in big trouble! Oh Calderon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Calderon is bucking up trying to escape but Peterson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Peterson looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Calderon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Peterson controlling the pace for now. Calderon seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson landing punches. Peterson controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Peterson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Sid Peterson was stalling too much, according to the referee. Calderon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Calderon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Peterson scores with a leg kick.
Peterson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Calderon will feel that in the morning. Sid Peterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Calderon is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Calderon gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Peterson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Calderon is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
