Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Hatayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucifer Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatayama comes to the cage accompanied by Samurai Soul. Jones has chosen Weapon of Choice as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiroshi Hatayama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucifer Jones! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hatayama throws a big shot that misses. Hatayama misses with a wild body shot. Hatayama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Hatayama. Hatayama on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jones. Jones obviously looking to wear him down.
Hatayama shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones misses with a body kick. Hatayama misses with a leg kick and Jones counters with a solid body kick. Hatayama misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hatayama takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatayama walks into a left hand. Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hatayama takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones is looking to chop away at Hatayama's legs. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Hatayama jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hatayama with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a head kick. That will keep Hatayama thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiroshi Hatayama. That's going to take a lot out of him. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hatayama crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jones - the referee stops the clock and Hatayama gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jones. Hatayama manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hatayama has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hatayama is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones scores with a push kick. Jones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Hatayama in the body. Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones connects with an inside leg kick. Hatayama takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hatayama on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hatayama. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jones.

Hatayama swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hatayama throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jones tests Hatayama's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hatayama avoids a kick to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hatayama ducks right into an uppercut from Jones. Jones looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucifer Jones dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hatayama is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Jones's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Hatayama moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Lucifer Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Hatayama takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Lucifer Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jones fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. An inside leg kick lands from Jones. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Hatayama might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. A cross from Jones lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Hatayama checks a leg kick nicely. Hatayama will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Jones tried to score with a low kick but Hatayama checks it. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Jones throws a leg kick which misses Hatayama's front leg but catches the back leg as Hatayama tries to avoid it. Good leg kick by Jones there. Hatayama is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones lands a nice hook to Hatayama's body. Hatayama takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lucifer Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hatayama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hatayama steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jones. That one must have hurt. Jones throws a front kick that sends Hatayama stumbling back into the cage. A cross from Jones lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hatayama walks into a stiff left hand from Jones. Good work by Hatayama as he checks the leg kick. Good shot there by Jones. Hatayama throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jones keeps Hatayama at a distance using the push kick. An inside leg kick lands from Jones. Hatayama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hiroshi Hatayama has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That kick from Jones tenderised Hatayama's leg. Hatayama is trying to keep his angry face on. Crunch! Jones slams his shin into Hatayama's torso. Jones clinches up with Hatayama and pushes him back against the cage.

Jones has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Hatayama lands a right hand. Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hatayamas head. Jones is stalling here.

Hatayama looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Jones lands a front kick. Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.

Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Lucifer Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
