The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Roca looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
De La Roca shoots in but Rao avoids the takedown attempt easily.

De La Roca moves in looking to clinch but Rao pushes him off.
Rao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with De La Roca but De La Roca pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rao throws a left and a right that both miss
and De La Roca counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rao shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rao was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rao is landing with some decent strikes but De La Roca is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

De La Roca is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Rao has taken his back.

De La Roca is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
De La Roca is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rao is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
De La Roca has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Rao.

Rao is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. De La Roca has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rao has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! De La Roca taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rao doesn't care though - he's delighted!
