Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vasya Vasechkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasya Vasechkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artur Nowak! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasechkin throws a series of strikes that have Nowak backpedaling.
Vasechkin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vasechkin tries to clinch but Nowak moves out of range. Nowak moves into the clinch. Vasechkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nowak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vasechkin as he jumps to the side. Vasechkin misses with a few strikes there.
Nowak clinches but Vasechkin breaks the clinch and Vasechkin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vasechkin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nowak scores a takedown into full mount! Vasechkin is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nowak controlling the pace for now. Nowak sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Vasechkin is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nowak controlling from the full mount. Vasechkin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Nowak controlling from the full mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Vasechkin is trying to stand up. Nowak misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Nowak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nowak controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Nowak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Vasechkin is breathing heavily. Vasechkin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Artur Nowak dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vasechkin doesn't manage to clinch there - Nowak circles away.
Nowak fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Vasechkin throws a nice looking combination but Nowak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Vasechkin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nowak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vasechkin's waist but Vasechkin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nowak off to one side. Nowak tries to clinch there but Vasechkin circles away.
Vasechkin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasechkin tries for a takedown but Nowak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vasechkin wants to land a leg kick but Nowak is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nowak shoots and misses and Vasechkin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Vasya Vasechkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Nowak. Nowak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Vasechkin to counter with a crisp jab. Vasechkin misses with the combination.

and Vasechkin counters with a left and a right that stings Nowak. Nowak wants to clinch and Vasechkin moves into the clinch. Vasechkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nowak fails to land the takedown. Nowak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vasechkin throws a series of punches but Nowak avoids them all with ease. Nowak dodges the punch combination from Vasechkin.
Nowak will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasechkin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nowak pinned against the cage. Nowak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nowak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vasechkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nowak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vasechkin.
Nowak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vasechkin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nowak somewhat. Nowak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vasechkin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nowak fails to land the takedown. Vasechkin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nowak circles away quickly and effectively. Nowak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vasechkin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nowak somewhat. Vasechkin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nowak backs up against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vasechkin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nowak paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nowak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vasechkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nowak bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Nowak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nowak shoots for a takedown but Vasechkin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Vasechkin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nowak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vasechkin pinned against the cage. Vasechkin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nowak darts in trying to clinch and Vasechkin counters with a series of strikes. Nowak will be more careful next time no doubt. Nowak with a lazy takedown attempt and Nowak takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Vasya Vasechkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Nowak. Nowak checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Nowak shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Vasechkin counters with a straight right hand. Vasechkin slaps away a takedown attempt from Nowak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nowak tries to clinch and Vasechkin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vasechkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vasechkin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vasechkin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vasechkin forces Nowak back against the cage and clinches. Vasechkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nowak wants to clinch but Vasechkin slips to the side and Vasechkin counters with a single leg into guard. Nowak didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nowak has a closed guard, preventing Vasechkin from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Vasechkin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nowak pulls Vasechkin in close to prevent any damage. Vasechkin stopping the sweep attempt from Nowak. Nowak kicks Vasechkin off and gets to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Vasya Vasechkin showed his dominance in that final round. I think Vasechkin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
