The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGrufus throws a sloppy head kick and Costa moves out of range easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Costa won't allow McGrufus to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Costa stuns McGrufus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Costa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Costa counters with a nice low kick that buckles McGrufus's knee momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Horrible takedown by Costa or perhaps it was just good defense by McGrufus which made him look bad.
