Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Slow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Blair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Slow! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slow shoots for a double leg takedown but Blair sprawls well. He's pushed Slow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Slow moves out of range as Blair strikes. A big right from Blair misses. Slow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blair circles away. Blair jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slow staying out of range there. A combination from Blair does no damage. Jimmy Blair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blair is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slow. Blair connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Slow slips a straight right by Blair. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A jab lands there for Blair. Joe Slow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Blair feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Slows jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Slow scores a takedown into full mount! Slow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blair is surviving well by controlling Slow's body position as best he can. Slow is breathing heavily. Blair is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Not much technique there but it did the business. Slow shoots in and bounces Blair off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Slow stops Blair from standing up. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Slow wants to free his trapped foot but Blair is holding on for dear life with his legs. Blair tries to roll over but Slow keeps him under control. Slow thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blair's head. Slow lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Blair is trying to stand back up but Slow is controlling him
Blair is staying active underneath Slow, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Blair tries to get to full guard but Slow has control of the leg. Slow is trying to control the action in half guard but Blair is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Blair showed his dominance in that final round. I think Blair has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
