Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kennedy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi. Kane has chosen Hurt as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bret Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kennedy Kane!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.
Kane misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hill tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hill shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kane swats away the attempt to clinch by Hill.
Hill moves in looking to clinch but Kane pushes him off.
Kane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hill but Hill pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hill misses with the combination.
Hill tries to clinch up but Kane circles away and keeps his distance.
Kane swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hill gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane throws a sloppy head kick and Hill moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kane misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hill.
Kane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hill feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hill trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kane's guard.
Hill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hill lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Hill wants to get up but he can't break Kane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hill slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kane wants to control but Hill postures up.
Kane bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Hill swats away the attempt to clinch by Kane.
Hill misses with a double jab
and Kane moves into the clinch.
Hill is breathing heavily.
Hill tries to break the clinch but Kane is controlling the position.
Hill is trying to stall.
Hill escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Kane counters with a nice body shot.
A head kick misses from Kane.
Hill clinches but Kane breaks the clinch
and Kane counters with a nice uppercut.
Kane tries a head kick but it misses.

Hill rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kane throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hill closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Kane to counter with a crisp jab.
Kane catches Hill with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hill could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hill misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hill is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hill moves into the clinch.
Kane breaks the clinch.
Kane clinches up with Hill and pushes him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hill pulls Kane into guard.
Hill has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kane doesn't defend quickly enough and Hill has managed to lock this one up! Can Kane escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hill on a fantastic submission victory.
