Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between De Ezel van de Reuzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Vlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think van de Reuzel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For A Few Dollars More. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, De Ezel van de Reuzel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Vlay! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! van de Reuzel blocks a head kick by Vlay.
Vlay tries to close the distance and clinch up but van de Reuzel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vlay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. van de Reuzel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vlay swivels and escapes. Vlay fails with the takedown. Marco Vlay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vlay stuffs the takedown. van de Reuzel throws a hook to the side of Vlay's head but Vlay sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed takedown attempt from van de Reuzel is defended easily by Vlay. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for De Ezel van de Reuzel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vlay throws a leg kick which misses van de Reuzel's front leg but catches the back leg as van de Reuzel tries to avoid it. van de Reuzel moves out of range of the body kick from Vlay.
An inside leg kick lands from Vlay. van de Reuzel avoids the head kick by Vlay.
Vlay keeps the fight on the outside. van de Reuzel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vlay but Vlay pushes him off and we're back to square one. Vlay buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
van de Reuzel is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vlay lands with a nice body kick. van de Reuzel tries to keep at a distance but Vlay has taken the fight into the clinch. Vlay has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but van de Reuzel regains guard immediately. Vlay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vlay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. van de Reuzel keeping moving, preventing Vlay from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vlay wants to pass the guard but van de Reuzel is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. van de Reuzel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. van de Reuzel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vlay is looking to work some ground and pound but van de Reuzel has wrist control. Vlay pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. van de Reuzel is keeping the position for now. Vlay in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vlay trying to control the position from guard on top but van de Reuzel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. van de Reuzel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if van de Reuzel tries to get out of the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Vlay is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! van de Reuzel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! van de Reuzel has escaped and now he's on top!

van de Reuzel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vlay on the ground. Vlay avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. van de Reuzel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vlay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in van de Reuzel's guard. Vlay won't allow van de Reuzel to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vlay drops back, looking for a kneebar! van de Reuzel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. van de Reuzel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from van de Reuzel! Vlay sneaks back into half guard. van de Reuzel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. van de Reuzel looks to land a strike but Vlay avoids it nicely and regains full guard. van de Reuzel throws a big right hand that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vlay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. van de Reuzel defends it easily. van de Reuzel throws and elbow that misses. Vlay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in van de Reuzel's guard. Nice move by Vlay! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Vlay dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
van de Reuzel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. van de Reuzel shoots in and drives through. Vlay sprawls well. Vlay clinches up with van de Reuzel and pushes him back against the cage. Vlay is pressed up against the cage. van de Reuzel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vlay down to the mat. Vlay avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Vlay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
van de Reuzel looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Vlay looking to hit a scissor sweep but van de Reuzel is one step ahead there. van de Reuzel postures up and lands a big shot to Vlay's brow. Vlay controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vlay bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in van de Reuzel's guard. Vlay postures up in van de Reuzel's guard and throws a big left but van de Reuzel blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vlay working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vlay looking to sit in guard and control but van de Reuzel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. van de Reuzel won't allow Vlay to sweep him here. van de Reuzel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. van de Reuzel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Vlay wants to stand and escape but van de Reuzel is having none of it. Vlay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But van de Reuzel has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from van de Reuzel! van de Reuzel wants to control from the top but Vlay keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. van de Reuzel scores with a decent looking elbow strike. van de Reuzel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vlay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. van de Reuzel throws and elbow that misses. Vlay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in van de Reuzel's guard. Nice move by Vlay! Vlay advances position into side control! Vlay tries for a kimura but van de Reuzel is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vlay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vlay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Vlay is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, van de Reuzel has escaped the position, nice work there. Vlay has an Americana. van de Reuzel didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vlay is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vlay hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
