Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Green is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Raymond Picard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Green! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green swats away the attempt to clinch by Picard. Green shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Picard pinned against the cage. Picard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Picard misses with a takedown attempt and Green counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Picard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Picard tries to get out of the position. Green prevents Picard from improving his position. Green is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Picard preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Picard wants to improve his position but Green is controlling well.
Green trying to control the action but Picard is working from the bottom. Picard wants to get back to full guard. Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Picard keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Picard misses with a takedown attempt and Green counters with a nice double leg into guard. Picard keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass. Picard working a defensive guard here.
Picard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there. Picard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Green seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Picard is trying to control the position but Green postures up. Green won't allow Picard to get back to his feet. Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Picard is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Picard throws a head kick that misses. Picard tries for a takedown but Green circles away easily and Green counters with a nice double leg into side control. Picard won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raymond Picard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Picard is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green lands a few punches from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Picard is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Picard can't do much from the bottom here. Picard is trying to get back to half guard. Green looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Picard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Green wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Green tries for a kimura but Picard is defending well. Picard manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Picard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working. Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green taking some punishment here, with Picard in his half guard. Green is trying to get back to full guard. Picard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Picard tries to pass to full mount but Green defends it. Picard with the ground and pound but Green uses the opportunity to regain guard. Picard stopping the sweep attempt from Green. Picard tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard. Picard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Green on the ground. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.
Green drops back looking for a leg! Picard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Picard manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Picard's guard. Picard working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Green.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Picard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green sitting in guard here, content to control. Green slips nicely into half guard. Picard wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it. Green is tying to control. Picard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Picard is trying to maintain the position but Green is very close to passing his half guard. Picard is looking for a sweep. Green is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Green working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Green prevents Picard from improving his position. Green is keen to just control but Picard is a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Picard closes the distance looking to clinch and Green counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Picard's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Green dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Green shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Picard's guard. Steve Green has got the better of the ground game so far. Green trying to control but Picard is working from the bottom. Picard looking to control.
Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Picard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Picard is trying to control the position but Green postures up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Picard looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Green stands and throws Picard's legs to the side, diving into side control. Picard is not content to let Green control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Picard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Picard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Picard tries for a kimura but Green is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Picard trying to control the position but Green is working away. Picard cracks Green with an elbow. That is naaassty. Picard trying to control the action but Green is working from the bottom. Green is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Picard connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Green some visible discomfort.
Picard lands a few punches from side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Picard swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Green counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Picard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there. Picard will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Picard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green works a leg free and moves into half guard. Green passes the guard and advances to mount! Green controlling the pace for now. Green tries to control but Picard wriggling away. A nice elbow there by Green. Green wants to control the pace but Picard is squirming around nicely. Green working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Picard turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Green off and cradles Picard's limp body as Green celebrates with his corner.
