Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinwi Bolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikuhisa Minowaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolo comes to the ring accompanied by Let's go!. Ikuhisa Minowaman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinwi Bolo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ikuhisa Minowaman! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Minowaman in his tracks. Minowaman feints and as Bolo raises his hands in defense, Minowaman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bolo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bolo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bolo wants to stand but Minowaman is controlling the position. Minowaman preventing the sweep. Minowaman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bolo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Minowaman is controlling him. Bolo looking for a sweep. Not yet Bolo, not yet. Bolo keeping full guard, as Minowaman tries to pass. Bolo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Minowaman has gone for a leg lock! Bolo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Minowaman's guard. Minowaman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Minowaman wants to sweep here but Bolo controlling him for the moment. Bolo landing some decent shots from guard. Bolo stands and throws Minowaman's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Minowaman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bolo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bolo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Minowaman can do anything to dispel that myth. Minowaman is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bolo connects with a decent elbow. Bolo cracks Minowaman with an elbow. That is naaassty. Minowaman is looking for a sweep. Minowaman is trying to control Bolo's posture but Bolo avoids it. Bolo scores with punches from side control. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
