Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Dog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brand Pound! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pound tries to sprawl but Dog drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pound wants to get back to his feet. Dog is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dog sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pound defending well though. Dog trying to pass the guard but Pound defending well. Pound keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dog trying to work for an americana but Pound has managed to regain full guard.
Dog trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Pound manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Pound scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pound is one step ahead there. Pound scoring with some ground and pound. Dog is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dog might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pound trying to control but Dog is working from the bottom. Dog working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dog is on top in guard.
Dog slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dog has knee on belly and moves into mount. Pound really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pound wants to get back to his feet.
Dog thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Dog has isolated one of Pound's arms. Pound looking to fight him off but Dog twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
