Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bayani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladsislas Wshivtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vladsislas Wshivtsev!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wshivtsev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bayani looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Wshivtsev wants to clinch up but Bayani keeps it at a distance.
Wshivtsev shoots for a takedown but Bayani saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Wshivtsev fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bayani sprawls well initially but Wshivtsev persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wshivtsev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bayani is just riding it out for now. Wshivtsev eventually gives up the hold.

Wshivtsev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wshivtsev is looking to advance position but Bayani won't allow it.

Wshivtsev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bayani but Bayani pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wshivtsev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bayani tries to avoid it but Wshivtsev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bayani to the ground. Bayani escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wshivtsev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bayani but Bayani pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wshivtsev has his foot on Bayani's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bayani works his way back into a safe position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wshivtsev shoots in looking for a takedown. Bayani tries to sprawl out of it but Wshivtsev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bayani manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wshivtsev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bayani pinned against the cage. Bayani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Bayani decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wshivtsev's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wshivtsev manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bayani manages to get himself to full guard.

Wshivtsev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wshivtsev is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bayani defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Wshivtsev is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Bayani with him. Bayani is trying to defend but Wshivtsev has an arm under the chin now! Bayani grimaces and is forced to tap out!
