PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Esko Morko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricius Metalius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Metalius comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hard Rock Halleluja kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metalius shoots for a double leg takedown but Morko sprawls well. He's pushed Metalius's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Metalius is trying to trip Morko. He has hold of a leg but Morko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Metalius persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Metalius stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morko swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Metalius remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Morko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Metalius is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Morko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Metalius's back instead.

Morko tries to close the distance and clinch but Metalius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well Metalius has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
