Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ironsides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wellen Dowd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dowd is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Primus - Wynona's Big Brown Beaver. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowd throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dowd looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ironsides walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ironsides takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ironsides got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dowd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ironsides has managed to get both his arms back between Dowd's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
