Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Z Mann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Jurgen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mann might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Birdland. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgen throws a body punch but Mann moves out of range.
Jurgen works Mann's body with a nice hook.
Paul Jurgen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mann scores with a shot to the body.

Jurgen fails with a takedown attempt.
Jurgen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mann checks it well.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mann, as that shot connected.
Jurgen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jurgen duly obliges.

It looks like Z Mann has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jurgen tries to close the distance and clinch but Mann swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mann drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jurgen wants to control but Mann postures up.

Mann has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mann creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jurgen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jurgen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mann.
Jurgen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mann pinned against the cage. Mann gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jurgen throws a looping overhand right but Mann ducks down to avoid it.
Jurgen wants to clinch.
Mann shoots in but no luck this time.
Mann misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mann uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jurgen.

Mann swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Jurgen throws a looping overhand right but Mann ducks down to avoid it.

Mann throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circling - Jurgen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Jurgen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Z Mann. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mann pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mann slips under a jab from Jurgen.
Jurgen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jurgen scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mann in his tracks.
Jurgen loads up on a big right hand but Mann slips the punch.
Jurgen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jurgen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mann.
Nice straight punches there by Jurgen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jurgen.

Mann fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jurgen on the side of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Jurgen. That snapped Mann's head back.

Z Mann's cut is getting worse.
Mann lunges at Jurgen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jurgen's hand.
Jurgen thuds his right hand into Mann's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jurgen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jurgen throws a hook but Mann blocks it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jurgen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mann down.
