Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between RUDY HATFIELD (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James McQueen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McQueen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Edguy - Ministry of Saints kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James McQueen! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McQueen keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
McQueen fails with a takedown attempt. McQueen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McQueen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McQueen seems to be working for a kimura but HATFIELD defends the submission attempt. HATFIELD wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McQueen stops HATFIELD from standing up. McQueen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on HATFIELD, up you get! McQueen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. HATFIELD quickly recovers to half guard. HATFIELD keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McQueen trying to control from HATFIELD's half guard. HATFIELD has other ideas though and has regained full guard. HATFIELD looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

McQueen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. McQueen tries for a kimura but HATFIELD is defending well. HATFIELD wants to get back to his feet. McQueen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but HATFIELD is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McQueen trying to control the position but HATFIELD is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McQueen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. HATFIELD looks calm but he's in trouble here. McQueen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. HATFIELD is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! McQueen lets go of the hold and HATFIELD can pop his arm back in it's socket.
