Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Howe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tim Howe was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Pulver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Howe!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howe fakes the leg kick and cracks Pulver in the body.
Howe scores with a three punch combo!
Howe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Howe lands in his opponent's guard.
Howe with a nice head shot there.
Howe tries to free his leg and advance position but Pulver is retaining full guard.
Pulver has his foot on Howe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howe works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howe chips away with some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pulver can't keep his opponent in guard - Howe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pulver looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Pulver has hold of Howe's hands but Howe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pulver is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Howe pulls his head out easily.
Howe scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Howe looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Howe connects with a nice short shot to Pulver's temple.
Pulver taking some punishment here, with Howe in his half guard.
Howe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pulver keeps working.
Howe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Howe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Howe winds up and cracks Pulver with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pulver on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Pulver is in trouble now - Howe has advanced to mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Howe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Howe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pulver looks a forlorn figure.
Pulver is in a horrible position here. Howe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
BOOM! Howe connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Howe scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Howe has hold of Pulver's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pulver manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Pulver is trying to escape the mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pulver is desperately trying to improve his position but Howe has a good base and remains in mount.

Howe lands a heavy elbow.
Oh Pulver is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Howe postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Pulver bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Howe and the fight is over!
