Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seth Probert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. James West looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seth Probert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James West! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West swinging wilding here.
West looks gassed! West moves out of range as Probert throws a body kick.
West fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Probert closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Probert lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Probert working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of West's head. Probert has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Probert controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Probert advances position into side control! Probert is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt West will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Probert passes to full mount! That's big trouble for West! Probert controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Probert seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down West for as long as he can get away with.

Probert walks into a jab. West misses with a takedown and Probert counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Probert controlling the action here. Probert prevents West from improving his position. Probert is taking a breather. West says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Probert passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for West! Probert has control of West's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and West regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Probert really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for West. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Probert throws a right hand that West ducks under and follows up with a left that West also avoids with ease. West with a lazy takedown attempt and Probert counters with a single leg into guard. West didn't expect that. Probert is stalling in the full guard.

West doesn't succeed with the takedown and Probert counters with a nice double leg into side control. West won't be happy with that. West is letting Probert control him for a moment. West gets caught flat footed, as Probert shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. West tries to land a sweep but no joy. Probert stands and throws West's legs to the side, diving into side control. West dodges the ground and pound from Probert.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West wants to get back to his feet but Probert drags him back down. Probert is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there. Probert wants to lay and pray for a moment but West keeps working. Probert slows the pace down. Probert advances nicely into full mount. Probert in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns West that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

West didn't expect that. Seth Probert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James West. West working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Probert doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Probert manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. West looking to control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Probert seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Probert's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seth Probert dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Probert defending well as West loads up on a big left hand. Probert bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. A lull in the action here as Probert stalls from top position. Probert is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that West can do to turn this around? West striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Probert is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt West will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Probert scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at West to see if he's OK. West taking a bit of punishment here - Probert scoring with strikes. A lull in the action here as Probert stalls from top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. West takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Seth Probert overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

West is looking for a sweep. Probert is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Probert with shots to the head and body - West looks very uncomfortable down there. Probert takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Probert lands a heavy elbow. Probert raining down shots from the mount! Probert looking to finish West with some ground and pound. This is bad for West! Probert tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Probert working away from the top, dropping strikes. Probert controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Seth Probert showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Probert, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
