Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscrow comes into the arena with Big Time blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Perry Roscrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Lane!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lane misses with a few strikes there.
Roscrow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lane.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lane is defended easily by Roscrow.
Roscrow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Roscrow wants it to stay on the feet.
Perry Roscrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Lane.
Lane shoots in looking for a takedown. Roscrow tries to sprawl out of it but Lane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roscrow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Roscrow drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Roscrow is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lane has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lane is working to avoid the ground and pound but Roscrow connects with a decent elbow.
Roscrow lands a nice forearm strike.

Roscrow scores a takedown into full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roscrow has hold of Lane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Roscrow lands with some strikes.

Lane gets caught flat footed, as Roscrow shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lane enables Roscrow to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lane can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lane misses with a takedown

and Roscrow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lane's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roscrow accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
