Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Pieru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quandu Zornach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zornach has chosen Man Of The Year by Drake as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pieru shoots and misses
and Zornach counters with a shoot takedown. Pieru fights it but they end up in guard.
Pieru is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pieru has a closed guard, preventing Zornach from standing up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Quandu Zornach hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Zornach makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

letting Zornach counter with a right hand.
Pieru shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zornach as he jumps to the side.
Zornach is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Zornach counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Zornach tries to bum rush Pieru with a series of wild strikes but Pieru uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Zornach is trying to control but can't.
Zornach has one foot on Pieru's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zornach is on top in guard.
