The crowd seem to be enjoying Ilmarinen's choice of entrance music: Konevitsan kirkonkellot. Udel Plebeev could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ukko Ilmarinen's chin.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilmarinen forces Plebeev back against the cage and clinches.
Ilmarinen wants the takedown. Plebeev is fighting it off but Ilmarinen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Plebeev's guard against the cage.

Plebeev closes the distance and clinches up with Ilmarinen, looking for a takedown. Plebeev pushes Ilmarinen against the cage but Ilmarinen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Plebeev swats away the attempt to clinch by Ilmarinen.
Plebeev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Plebeev tries for a takedown but Ilmarinen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Plebeev closes the distance but Ilmarinen moves to the side
and Ilmarinen counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ilmarinen passes the guard and advances to mount!
Ilmarinen tries to control but Plebeev wriggling away.
Ilmarinen is landing with some decent strikes but Plebeev is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ukko Ilmarinen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ilmarinen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A head kick by Plebeev - that's a beauty! Ilmarinen is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Plebeev can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
