Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Preston MacClelland!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Martinez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Martinez enables MacClelland to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Martinez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
MacClelland is pushing down on Martinez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Martinez is fighting to maintain full guard but MacClelland has managed to sneak the leg through.
Still in half guard, MacClelland seems content to control.
Let's hope that MacClelland has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

MacClelland stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

MacClelland takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

MacClelland is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Martinez's half guard.
Martinez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but MacClelland scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacClelland is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

MacClelland is taking a breather. Martinez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Martinez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for MacClelland on the ground.
Martinez is breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Preston MacClelland wasn't active enough on the ground.
MacClelland is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
MacClelland dodges the punch combination from Martinez.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

MacClelland shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. MacClelland showed some decent athleticism there.
MacClelland perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Martinez is looking to clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Martinez takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Martinez falls off balance throwing a combination

and MacClelland moves into the clinch.
Martinez wants to break free but MacClelland has control.

Martinez manages to break the clinch.
Preston MacClelland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

MacClelland fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martinez sprawls well initially but MacClelland persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
MacClelland is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Martinez!

MacClelland lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Martinez is rocked!
Martinez is trying to escape the mount but MacClelland keeps good control and instead manages to take Martinez's back.

MacClelland is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Martinez taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from MacClelland.
