Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Becker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nataniel Byczynski! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Byczynski slams his shin into Becker's torso. Becker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Byczynski as he avoids it easily. Becker blocks a low kick nicely. A bone on bone clash there as Becker blocks the leg kick.
Becker checks a leg kick nicely. Becker moves out of range as Byczynski strikes. Becker shoots for a takedown but Byczynski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Becker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Byczynski misses with a body kick. Becker keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Becker or perhaps it was just good defense by Byczynski which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gary Becker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Byczynski misses with a low kick.

Becker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Becker looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Byczynski is avoiding damage well.

Byczynski tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ground and pound from Becker seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Becker tries for a kimura but Byczynski is defending well. Becker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Byczynski some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Byczynski is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Byczynski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Becker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Becker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Becker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Becker misses with an attempted head punch from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gary Becker dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Byczynski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Byczynski wants it to stay on the feet. Becker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Byczynski connects with a leg kick. Becker looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Becker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Becker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Byczynski attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Becker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It looks like Gary Becker has been cut. Byczynski misses with a low kick. Byczynski feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Becker sprawling to the canvas! Becker rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Byczynski finish him?!

Byczynski takes a step backwards and waves Becker back to his feet - he wants the finish! Becker is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. An inside leg kick from Byczynski misses. Byczynski throws a half hearted mid kick. Byczynski motions for Becker to come forward. Byczynski throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. An inside leg kick from Byczynski misses. Nataniel Byczynski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Becker takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Byczynski uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Becker has time to react. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Becker shoots for a double leg takedown but Byczynski sprawls well. He's pushed Becker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Becker takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Nataniel Byczynski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gary Becker's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Byczynski looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Becker throws the left hand but Byczynski avoids the punch easily. Byczynski has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Becker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Byczynski sees that one coming and sprawls well.
