Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Raskolnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Almanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raskolnikov comes to the cage accompanied by Another Brick In The Wall. Almanez has chosen Amazing by Kanye West as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almanez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Almanez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Raskolnikov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Almanez on the ground.

Almanez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Raskolnikov sees it coming and defends easily.

Almanez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Raskolnikov is just riding it out for now. Almanez eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Almanez is fighting to break Raskolnikov's control of his arms but Raskolnikov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vladimir Raskolnikov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Raskolnikov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
