Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Tank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Lucas! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tank throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lucas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tank is in Lucas's guard. Tank looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Tank throws and elbow that misses. Lucas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tank's guard. Nice move by Lucas! Lucas wants to pass the guard but Tank is keeping the position. Tank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lucas on the ground. Lucas engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lucas gets to his feet. Tank looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

It looks like Mike Tank has been cut. Mike Tank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lucas dives in and grabs Tank's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tank pushes down on Lucas's head and hops out. Lucas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tank's head. Lucas decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lucas trying to control from half guard but Tank is working away. Lucas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tank has managed to free his arm - good work. Lucas is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lucas wants to pass to mount but Tank is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lucas is looking to take a break and control but Tank is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tank on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tank tries to get out of the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Lucas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Lucas fails with the takedown. Tank shoots in and gets a takedown into Lucas's guard. Tank lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lucas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tank closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lucas wants to improve his position but Tank is controlling well.

Lucas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tank throws out the jab. Tank tries for a takedown but Lucas circles away easily and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lucas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lucas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tank, up you get! Horrible takedown by Lucas or perhaps it was just good defense by Tank which made him look bad. Tank shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Tank working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank scoring with strikes to the body and head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lucas wants to get back to full guard. Tank looks to land a strike but Lucas avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Lucas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tank is one step ahead there. Tank lands a couple of elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tank works over Lucas with some ground and pound from guard. Lucas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tank is not content to let Lucas control the position. Lucas wants to free his trapped foot but Tank is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lucas decides to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tank looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lucas trying to keep a closed guard but Tank is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tank postures up.

Frank Lucas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Tank feints and as Lucas raises his hands in defense, Tank changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tank throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tank distracts Lucas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tank is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lucas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tank with a nice head shot there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lucas is on top in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Tank will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mike Tank's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Tank drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lucas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Tank.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lucas trying to control but Tank is having none of it. Lucas fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Frank Lucas. I think Lucas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
