Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Al Pratt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escobar has chosen Brujeria by La Coka Nostra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Juan Escobar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pratt works over Escobar's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Juan Escobar has been cut.
Pratt swings for the body but Escobar moves out of range.
Pratt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Escobar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Escobar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pratt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Escobar somewhat.
Pratt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pratt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Escobar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pratt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pratt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Escobar.
Al Pratt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escobar lands with a hook. Pratt tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Al Pratt has been cut.
Pratt throws a jab but it's blocked by Escobar.

Escobar walks into a stiff left hand from Pratt.
Pratt pivots, looking for a leg kick but Escobar is out of range and Pratt settles back down.
Escobar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pratt.

Escobar looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Escobar wants to free his trapped foot but Pratt is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Escobar is trying to work for a kimura but Pratt is defending well.
Pratt tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Escobar manages to move to mount!

Escobar has control of Pratt's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pratt regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Pratt is trying to escape the mount but Escobar keeps good control and instead manages to take Pratt's back.

Escobar looking to break Pratt's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pratt remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Escobar will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Pratt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Escobar's guard. Nice work there by Pratt.

Escobar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Pratt has his hands clasped together but Escobar extends an breaks Pratt's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Escobar.
