Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Furstenfeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Drabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Furstenfeld comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - No More Sorrow. Drabek has chosen Imagine as his entrance music. Jeff Drabek will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Drabek! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Furstenfeld smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Jeff Drabek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Furstenfeld displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Drabek throws out the jab. Furstenfeld moves out of range as Drabek strikes. Furstenfeld checks a leg kick. Drabek tries to land a front kick but Furstenfeld steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Furstenfeld tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Drabek walks into a left hand. Furstenfeld bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Drabek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Drabek showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Furstenfeld looking for submissions off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Furstenfeld wants to get back to full guard. Drabek tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Furstenfeld might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Drabek slips a nice elbow through Furstenfeld's hands, connecting with Furstenfeld's forehead. Drabek sitting and controlling from the half guard. Furstenfeld moves into full guard.

Drabek throws a big right hand that misses. Furstenfeld bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drabek's guard. Furstenfeld drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Drabek manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Furstenfeld has Drabek in his guard. Drabek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Drabek is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Drabek looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Furstenfeld throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

A close round but Jeff Drabek will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Furstenfeld goes for an armbar but Drabek turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Drabek. Furstenfeld has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Drabek is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Furstenfeld. Drabek moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Drabek postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Furstenfeld is looking for a sweep. The ground and pound from Drabek seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Furstenfeld parries the strikes from Drabek easily there. Drabek is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Furstenfeld to escape.
Furstenfeld sneaks back into half guard. Furstenfeld is looking for a sweep. Drabek is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Drabek with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Drabek not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Furstenfeld throws a strike from the bottom but Drabek passes into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Drabek working the body and head with strikes. Furstenfeld is looking to regain half guard here but Drabek keeps moving and retains side control. Drabek landing strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Furstenfeld is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Drabek off and has taken his back! Drabek wants to control his opponent's hands but Furstenfeld gets his hands free. Drabek prevents Furstenfeld from getting a body triangle. Drabek is really stuck here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Furstenfeld punches the canvas rather than the man. Furstenfeld is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Drabek knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Drabek for a finish. Furstenfeld keeps control of the position as Drabek tries to break free.

A close second round but Jeff Drabek will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Drabek throws a nice looking combination but Furstenfeld bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Drabek has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Drabek there as he acknowledges the shot. Nice uppercut lands for Drabek. That snapped Furstenfeld's head back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drabek drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Furstenfeld looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drabek is one step ahead there. Furstenfeld avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Drabek throws a hook but Furstenfeld blocks it. Drabek looks to land a left hand but Furstenfeld moved out of range nicely. Drabek is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Furstenfeld. Drabek has his takedown stuffed and Furstenfeld counters with a nice double leg into guard. Furstenfeld trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Drabek manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Furstenfeld is trying to maintain the position but Drabek is very close to passing his half guard. Drabek missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Furstenfeld tries to roll over but Drabek keeps him under control. Drabek passes into side control, despite Furstenfeld's attempt to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Jeff Drabek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Drabek winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
