Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Volodja Ubjuuter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Taalasmaa!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ubjuuter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Taalasmaa blocks a head kick by Ubjuuter.
No luck for Taalasmaa with that takedown attempt.
Ubjuuter throws a sloppy head kick and Taalasmaa moves out of range easily.
Ubjuuter stuffs the takedown attempt from Taalasmaa. Taalasmaa gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taalasmaa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ubjuuter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Ubjuuter. No joy for Taalasmaa on that attempt.
Volodja Ubjuuter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seppo Taalasmaa.

Ubjuuter connects with a high kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Taalasmaa.
Taalasmaa wants to clinch up but Ubjuuter keeps it at a distance.
Taalasmaa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ubjuuter's waist but Ubjuuter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taalasmaa off to one side.
Ubjuuter tries to close the distance and clinch but Taalasmaa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Taalasmaa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ubjuuter tries to avoid it but Taalasmaa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ubjuuter to the ground. Ubjuuter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Taalasmaa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Taalasmaa looks gassed!

Taalasmaa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taalasmaa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ubjuuter wants to get back to his feet but Taalasmaa drags him back down.
Ubjuuter tries to improve position but can't.
Taalasmaa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Taalasmaa throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Ubjuuter is looking for a sweep.

Taalasmaa looking to control but instead Ubjuuter has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Taalasmaa stalling away here and it's allowed Ubjuuter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Taalasmaa trying to control the position from guard on top but Ubjuuter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taalasmaa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Taalasmaa stands up from Ubjuuter's guard - Taalasmaa perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ubjuuter misses with a head kick.
Ubjuuter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ubjuuter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Taalasmaa shoots in for a double leg but Ubjuuter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ubjuuter avoids the body shot from Taalasmaa.
Ubjuuter misses with a head kick.
A head kick from Ubjuuter lands but Taalasmaa takes it in his stride.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Taalasmaa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ubjuuter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Taalasmaa tries for a kimura but Ubjuuter is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seppo Taalasmaa dominated that round.

Seppo Taalasmaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taalasmaa shoots in for a takedown but Ubjuuter shows good takedown defense.

Taalasmaa is looking for a kimura but Ubjuuter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taalasmaa to get the leverage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Taalasmaa is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Ubjuuter has managed to free his arm - good work.
Taalasmaa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ubjuuter's head.
Taalasmaa slows the pace down in half guard.
Taalasmaa has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ubjuuter defend it? Taalasmaa steps over the head and cranks it - Ubjuuter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Taalasmaa!
