Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dagestan Opasevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesse Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dagestan Opasevich! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Opasevich keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Opasevich closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Opasevich pushes Jones against the ropes but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Opasevich's head. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Opasevich moves out of range easily. Jones scores with a push kick. Opasevich looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Opasevich punching from mount but Jones doing a good job of avoiding damage. Opasevich throwing strikes here but Jones is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Dagestan Opasevich dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Opasevich shoots in but no luck this time. Opasevich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Opasevich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jesse Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dagestan Opasevich.

Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Opasevich shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Opasevich shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Opasevich dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Opasevich's head and hops out. Opasevich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Opasevich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Opasevich's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jesse Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones loads up on a big right hand but Opasevich slips the punch. Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Opasevich. Opasevich avoids a kick to the body.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Opasevich is defended easily by Jones. An inside leg kick lands from Jones. No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Opasevich pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jones is controlling Opasevich's trapped leg to prevent Opasevich from advancing to side control. Opasevich prevents Jones from improving his position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Opasevich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. Opasevich misses with a head shot. Jones uses the momentum to regain guard. Opasevich looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jones wants to control from the top but Opasevich keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Opasevich has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Opasevich keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jesse Jones. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
