Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pain Peters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buck Shmuck! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shmuck lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peters. The fight stays on the outside here - Shmuck looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A slapping leg kick lands for Shmuck.
Peters fails with the takedown. Peters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Shmuck shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pain Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shmuck gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Shmuck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shmuck's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Shmuck duly obliges. Shmuck instigates a clinch. Shmuck working hard to break the clinch. Peters has Shmuck pressed against the cage, preventing Shmuck from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A body shot lands from Shmuck.
Peters is trying to break the clinch but Shmuck has him pressed against the cage. Shmuck pushes Peters back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Peters wants to get back to striking at distance but Shmuck won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Peters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Peters tries for a takedown but Shmuck sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shmuck fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shmuck clinches up with Peters and pushes him back against the cage. Shmuck stops a takedown attempt from Peters.

Peters gets a trip takedown into half guard. Shmuck trying to hold on to Peters's head to control him but Peters postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peters is trying to work for a kimura but Shmuck is defending well.
Peters is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Peters is breathing heavily. Peters prevents Shmuck from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters wants to work for an arm triangle but Shmuck is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Shmuck is looking to control Peters's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shmuck avoid being mounted? Peters is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shmuck sees it coming and defends easily. Peters is looking for a kimura but Shmuck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peters to get the leverage. Peters prevents Shmuck from standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shmuck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shmuck is defending against the submission attempts here by Peters.
Shmuck is trying to maintain the position but Peters is very close to passing his half guard. Shmuck is positioning himself well to prevent Peters advancing to mount. Peters is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shmuck defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Peters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shmuck has managed to free his arm - good work. Shmuck moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Shmuck wants to sweep but no luck. Peters drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shmuck looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shmuck looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shmuck! Shmuck is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peters knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Peters tries to buck Shmuck off but Shmuck is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buck Shmuck dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice sprawl there from Shmuck as Peters shoots in. Peters shoots in for a double leg but Shmuck sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Peters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pain Peters. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peters takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Peters shoots in but Shmuck avoids the takedown attempt easily. Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shmuck as he jumps to the side. Peters on the wrong end of a nice hook. Shmuck has closed the distance and engaged Peters in a clinch.
Shmuck manages to break the clinch.
Peters fails with a takedown attempt from distance. No luck for Peters with that takedown attempt. Shmuck leaves Peters with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Shmuck scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peters takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Shmuck closes the distance and pushes Peters back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shmuck breaks the clinch.
Buck Shmuck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shmuck misses with a few strikes there.
Peters shoots for a double leg takedown but Shmuck sprawls well. He's pushed Peters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shmuck with a hook. Shmuck goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Peters takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Horrible takedown by Peters or perhaps it was just good defense by Shmuck which made him look bad. Shmuck lands a jab to Peters's midsection. Shmuck lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Peters is rocked! Shmuck connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Peters tumbling to the canvas! Shmuck pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Peters was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Buck Shmuck!
