Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake VanVactor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). VanVactor comes to the cage accompanied by Like a Pimp by David Banner. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Roll! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! VanVactor tries for a takedown but Roll sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from VanVactor. Roll does a little dance to reset his feet. VanVactor gets caught flat footed, as Roll shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Roll postures up in VanVactor's guard and throws a big left but VanVactor blocks it. VanVactor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Roll is one step ahead there. Roll with a nice head shot there. VanVactor working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roll. Roll throws a strike but VanVactor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Roll is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Roll manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Roll really doesn't want to stay on the ground with VanVactor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Roll landing strikes from the mount. VanVactor tries to hold on but Roll postures up. Roll sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! VanVactor is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Roll lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Roll misses with a head shot. VanVactor is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Roll wants to stand but VanVactor is controlling the position. Roll is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Roll is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. VanVactor wants to control from the top but Roll keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Roll keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from VanVactor. Roll with a lazy takedown attempt and VanVactor counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roll looking to hit a scissor sweep but VanVactor is one step ahead there. VanVactor postures up and lands a big shot to Roll's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Roll dominated that round. That's time! VanVactor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Roll's hands are dropping dangerously low here and VanVactor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Roll scrambles back to his feet. Roll takes a shot right to the bread basket. Roll throws a shot from downtown. VanVactor moves away and avoids it. Roll gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and VanVactor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. VanVactor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roll can do anything to dispel that myth. VanVactor drops back looking for a leg! Roll is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Roll manages to kick VanVactor off! VanVactor jumps back into Roll's guard. VanVactor stopping the sweep attempt from Roll.
That's one minute gone in the round. VanVactor connects with a couple of short punches. VanVactor throws a big right hand that misses. Roll is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Roll is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Roll wants to sweep but no luck. Roll is breathing heavily. VanVactor won't allow Roll to get back to his feet. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. VanVactor lands a jab. Jake VanVactor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roll takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. VanVactor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. VanVactor gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. VanVactor happy to just control the position for now. VanVactor fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Roll avoids any damage from the ground and pound of VanVactor. VanVactor throwing strikes but missing, from side control. VanVactor tries to score with some ground and pound. Roll controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Rock Roll has got the better of the ground game so far. Roll tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but VanVactor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. VanVactor fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Roll sneaks back into half guard. Roll pushes VanVactor off and gets back to his feet. Roll gets caught flat footed, as VanVactor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. VanVactor with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roll bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in VanVactor's guard. VanVactor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roll postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roll throws and elbow that misses. VanVactor uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roll's guard. Nice move by VanVactor! VanVactor won't allow Roll to sweep him here. Roll is pulling down on VanVactor's head to control his posture. VanVactor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. VanVactor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Roll with the ground and pound but VanVactor uses the opportunity to regain guard. Roll throws a strike but VanVactor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. VanVactor trying to control but Roll is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Roll looking for a sweep. Not yet Roll, not yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. VanVactor lands a couple of digs. Roll keeping moving, preventing VanVactor from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. VanVactor scoring with punches to the head and body. Roll keeping moving, preventing VanVactor from controlling successfully. VanVactor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jake VanVactor has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. VanVactor pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Roll, as that shot connected.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. VanVactor tries to move into range but Roll moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A jab from VanVactor misses. A big right from VanVactor misses. VanVactor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Roll shoots and misses and VanVactor counters with a nice body shot. VanVactor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roll's waist but Roll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing VanVactor off to one side. VanVactor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Roll tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. VanVactor is in Roll's guard. VanVactor prevents Roll from getting back to his feet. VanVactor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. VanVactor working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Rock Roll comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
