The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez misses with an uppercut. Doe saw that one coming.
Ramirez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ramirez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Doe.
Ramirez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doe.
Doe looks to score with a jab to the body but Ramirez is just out of range.
Ramirez slips a jab from Doe.
Ramirez slips under a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Doe. Ramirez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Doe misses with a wild body shot.
Doe just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramirez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doe moves away.
Doe looks to land a left hand but Ramirez moved out of range nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ramirez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ramirez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doe moves away.
Ramirez moves away from the strike by Doe.
A telegraphed right hand from Doe misses the target.
A jab from Doe misses.
Ramirez slips a straight right by Doe.

Doe looks to throw the jab but Ramirez is out of range.
John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramirez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doe throws out the jab.
Doe misses with a body shot.
Doe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ramirez s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ramirez pushes down on Doe's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Doe pushes Ramirez off looking to stand but Ramirez dives back in and keeps control.
Ramirez is keen to just control but Doe is a slippery customer.

Doe is sitting in close to Ramirez 's body. Ramirez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Doe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Doe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ramirez .
