The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Pakkanen.
Pakkanen looks for the body kick but Silva saw that one coming.
Pakkanen lands with a nice combination. Silva backs away looking to recover.
Nate Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pakkanen tries to clinch up.
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pakkanen avoids the head kick by Silva.
Pakkanen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Pakkanen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pakkanen wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Pakkanen is working for a submission of some sort.
Pakkanen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Silva tries to lock up and control but Pakkanen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Silva is trying desperately to improve position.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pakkanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Pakkanen has isolated one of Silva's arms. Silva looking to fight him off but Pakkanen twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
