The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson thows a body shot but no joy.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Gomez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson kicks Gomez off and gets to his feet.
Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jackson is keen to just control but Gomez is a slippery customer.
