Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cristian Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brayden Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brayden Hunter was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cristian Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brayden Hunter! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Hunter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Romero tries to roll over but Hunter keeps him under control. Hunter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romero is looking for a sweep. Hunter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Romero trying to control here.
Romero is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Romero is refusing to be controlled, as Hunter sits in half guard. Hunter throws a strike but Romero avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Hunter trying to control but Romero is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Brayden Hunter was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hunter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hunter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Romero pinned against the cage. Romero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hunter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hunter instigates a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hunter takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hunter manages to break the clinch.
Hunter tries to clinch but Romero is having none of it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hunter enables Romero to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hunter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Hunter trying to keep a closed guard but Romero is proving a slippery customer.
Romero stands and throws Hunter's legs to the side, diving into side control. Romero is trying to ground and pound but Hunter uses the momentary lack of control by Romero to regain half guard. Hunter wants to improve his position but Romero is controlling well.
Hunter tries to kick Romero off but Romero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hunter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Romero takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero wants to take a breather but Hunter is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter wants to get back to full guard. Romero is trying to control. Hunter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hunter wants to improve his position but Romero is controlling well.

We're going to have a standup here because Cristian Romero wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Romero shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hunter counters with a straight right hand. Romero is breathing heavily. Romero doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Hunter counter with a right hand. Hunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hunter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hunter content to stall in guard here.

Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Romero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hunter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Romero's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brayden Hunter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Romero tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Romero back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Cristian Romero has been cut. Brayden Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Romero. Romero fails with the takedown and Hunter counters with a big right hand! Oh Romero is in trouble here! Hunter follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brayden Hunter!
