Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Robbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ross pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Robbin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, ross pearson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! pearson throws a sloppy head kick and Robbin moves out of range easily. pearson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Robbin defends it nicely. Robbin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. pearson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robbin swivels and escapes. pearson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Robbin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. pearson fails in his attempt to clinch. Robbin rushes pearson and presses him up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robbin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
ross pearson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Robbin. No joy for pearson on that attempt. Billy Robbin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ross pearson. pearson wants to clinch and Robbin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in pearson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. pearson wants to sweep here but Robbin controlling him for the moment. pearson controls Robbin momentarily but Robbin frees himself. Robbin cracks pearson with a solid left hand. pearson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Robbin showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Robbin postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. pearson throws a couple of heel strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robbin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. pearson is trying to control the position but Robbin postures up. Robbin is breathing heavily. Robbin trying to control the position from guard on top but pearson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Robbin throws a low kick, looking for pearson's leg but pearson calmly moves out of range. pearson misses with a takedown and Robbin counters by clinching up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. pearson tries for a takedown but Robbin manages to get underhooks.

pearson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. pearson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. pearson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robbin is one step ahead there. Robbin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Robbin content to stall in guard here. pearson is trying to control the position but Robbin postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Robbin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. pearson working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Robbin with a nice head shot there. Robbin looking to pass the guard. Robbin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Robbin looking to sit in guard and control but pearson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Robbin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

pearson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Robbin counters by clinching up. pearson pulls guard effortlessly. pearson keeping moving, preventing Robbin from controlling successfully. pearson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Robbin looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robbin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Robbin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. pearson is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. pearson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Robbin passes pearson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Robbin is just content to waste time from the top position. pearson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Robbin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. pearson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Robbin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Robbin tries to get out of the position. pearson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. pearson moves nicely into side control. pearson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Robbin to his feet. Robbin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by pearson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. pearson wants to clinch but Robbin slips to the side and Robbin counters into the clinch. Nicely done. pearson looking to slow down the pace here. Robbin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. pearson is pressed up against the cage. Robbin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag pearson down to the mat. pearson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. pearson moves into the clinch. pearson can't get the takedown.
Robbin takes a knee to the side of the body. pearson is trying to force a seperation but Robbin has the dominant position. Robbin has clasped his hands together around pearson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. pearson is trying to improve his position. Robbin wants to lay and pray for a moment but pearson keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on pearson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. pearson is looking for a sweep. Robbin tries to advance to mount but pearson denies him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. pearson is looking to reverse the position. Robbin looking to control but instead pearson has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Robbin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks pearson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Robbin will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Robbin stands and throws pearson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Robbin wants to control but pearson is keeping him busy. pearson gets back to half guard. Robbin throwing shots but pearson is blocking nicely.

Nice work. pearson is trying to control the position but Robbin postures up. Robbin wants to control from the top but pearson keeps moving. Robbin tries to free his leg and advance position but pearson is retaining full guard. Robbin trying to control but pearson is working from the bottom. Robbin is working pearson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Robbin chips away with some ground and pound. Robbin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. pearson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Robbin landing some decent shots from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. pearson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
pearson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Robbin's guard. pearson wants to stand and escape but instead Robbin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Billy Robbin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Billy Robbin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. pearson is trying to control the position but Robbin postures up. Robbin stays in close to pearson's body and controls the position. pearson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Robbin!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbin tries to hold on but pearson postures up. pearson content just to control the position here. ross pearson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. pearson lands a big elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Robbin. Well Robbin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
