The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sugghar throws a push kick but Jackson slaps the foot to one side.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Sugghar.
Thiago Sugghar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sugghar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Jackson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sugghar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson feints a jab promting Sugghar to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sugghar slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sugghar clinches up with Jackson and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jackson is looking to break free of the clinch but Sugghar has double underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boa Jackson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sugghar throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Sugghar wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Sugghar is breathing heavily.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sugghar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sugghar might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Thiago Sugghar wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sugghar shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sugghar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Thiago Sugghar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
