Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Hiscock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janick Ironcrotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Janick Ironcrotch!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiscock shoots in looking for a takedown but Ironcrotch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hiscock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hiscock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ironcrotch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ironcrotch leaves Hiscock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Hiscock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hiscock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ironcrotch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ironcrotch not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Hiscock wants to control but Ironcrotch is keeping busy and won't allow it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ironcrotch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ironcrotch tries to free his leg and advance position but Hiscock is retaining full guard.
Ironcrotch throws a big right hand that misses.
Ironcrotch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ironcrotch stands up over Hiscock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hiscock is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ironcrotch can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hiscock forces his way into half guard.
Ironcrotch is controlling Hiscock's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Hiscock is keen to just control but Ironcrotch is a slippery customer.
Hiscock works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hiscock scores with a couple of good head shots there.

It looks like Janick Ironcrotch has been cut.

Hiscock pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hiscock wants to control the pace but Ironcrotch is squirming around nicely.
Hiscock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ironcrotch is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Ironcrotch sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hiscock is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hiscock is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Ironcrotch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hiscock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Janick Ironcrotch's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Janick Ironcrotch's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
