Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sparks comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Glen. Belfort is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bate Pesadão. Vitor Belfort struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Belfort! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort throws a hook to the side of Sparks's head but Sparks sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sparks looks to land a left hand but Belfort moved out of range nicely. Sparks throws a combination. Belfort tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut. Sparks lands a glancing blow to the side of Belfort's head. Belfort connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Jimmy Sparks has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sparks throws a big shot that misses. Belfort missing with a left hand there. Sparks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Belfort throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sparks sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sparks closes the distance and clinches up with Belfort, looking for a takedown. Sparks pushes Belfort against the cage but Belfort circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sparks throws a right hand that Belfort ducks under and follows up with a left that Belfort also avoids with ease. Sparks avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sparks throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sparks loses concentration momentarily and Belfort pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Sparks crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Belfort finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
