Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alfons Aberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Farid Bahramzadah!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aberg fails with the takedown

and Bahramzadah counters with a single leg into guard. Aberg didn't expect that.
Aberg is looking to stand up but Bahramzadah isn't so interested in that idea.

Bahramzadah is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Aberg is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Aberg has escaped and now he's on top!

Bahramzadah has his foot on Aberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aberg works his way back into a safe position though.
Aberg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Alfons Aberg will probably get the nod.

Oooooh!!! Aberg has knocked Bahramzadah down with a huge combo! Aberg steps away and waves a wobbly Bahramzadah back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Farid Bahramzadah has been cut.

and Bahramzadah counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aberg's guard now.

Aberg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Aberg decides to stand back up. Aberg steps back and let's Bahramzadah get back to his feet.

Aberg controls Bahramzadah momentarily but Bahramzadah frees himself.

Bahramzadah drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bahramzadah jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Aberg wants to stand and escape but Bahramzadah is having none of it.

Bahramzadah drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Bahramzadah as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Aberg screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Bahramzadah! Nice submission victory there!
