Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian de Meza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herbert Farnsworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farnsworth tries a head kick but it misses.
A big right from de Meza misses.
Farnsworth misses with a double jab.
de Meza scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

de Meza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Farnsworth tries to avoid it but de Meza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Farnsworth to the ground. Farnsworth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from de Meza.
Farnsworth throws a body punch but de Meza moves out of range.
Farnsworth throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

de Meza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Farnsworth wants to stand and escape but de Meza is having none of it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

de Meza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Farnsworth moves away.

Farnsworth is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
de Meza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Farnsworth's waist but Farnsworth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing de Meza off to one side.

Herbert Farnsworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Farnsworth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Farnsworth drops de Meza with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but de Meza looks back up at him and smiles so Farnsworth waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
de Meza is rocked!
Farnsworth rushes de Meza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oh de Meza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Farnsworth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
de Meza seems to have got his legs back now.
Farnsworth throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Farnsworth throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on de Meza's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Farnsworth dives in looking to finish as de Meza flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Farnsworth's strikes! Farnsworth is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! de Meza's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but de Meza was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herbert Farnsworth!
