Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bret Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Charm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill comes into the arena with Wanted Dead Or Alive by Bon Jovi blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bret Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Charm! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charm misses with a series of wild punches.
Hill takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Charm looks to land a combination but Hill avoids it well. Hill drives through with a takedown into guard. Hill tries to free his leg and advance position but Charm is retaining full guard. Charm is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hill trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hill stays in close to Charm's body and controls the position. Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Charm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hill won't allow Charm to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill with a nice head shot there. Hill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Charm working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hill. Hill throws a big right hand that misses. Hill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hill wants to control from the top but Charm keeps moving. Hill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hill prevents Charm from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hill drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Charm manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hill has Charm in his guard. Charm stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charm pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Charm misses with the combination.
Charm lands a head kick!
Hill dodges the punch combination from Charm.
Charm lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Charm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hill scores with a shot to the body.
Charm swings for the body but Hill moves out of range.
Charm thows a body kick. Hill tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hill checks a low kick from Charm. Hill shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Hill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Charm wants to get back to his feet.
Hill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hill is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bret Hill will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Charm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hill uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Charm. Charm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Hill counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Charm keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully. Hill is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hill trying to control but Charm is working from the bottom. Charm preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill with a nice head shot there. Hill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Charm avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hill drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Charm dives on top into guard. Hill wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Charm has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hill is proving hard to escape from. Hill had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Charm defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charm wanted to stand there but Hill had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Charm preventing the sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hill throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Charm escapes and throws Hill's legs to the side, diving into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret Hill dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Charm misses with a combination
and Hill decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Charm's guard. Hill throws and elbow that misses. Charm uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hill's guard. Nice move by Charm! Hill has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Charm is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hill. Hill tries to buck Charm off but Charm is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill is working hard here to advance position. Bret Hill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Charm working away. Hill is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Charm is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill tries to bench press Charm off him but Charm keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Charm working away. Lucky Charm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hill is trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Bret Hill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
