Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alessandro Manganello II! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manganello II is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Manganello II wants to clinch up but Kasparaitis keeps it at a distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Kasparaitis. Manganello II does a little dance to reset his feet. Kasparaitis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manganello II manages to avoid it. Kasparaitis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Manganello II is looking to clinch but Kasparaitis is avoiding it.
Manganello II dives in and grabs Kasparaitis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kasparaitis pushes down on Manganello II's head and hops out. Kasparaitis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Manganello II. Kasparaitis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kasparaitis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manganello II manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manganello II fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kasparaitis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manganello II was well out of range. Poor timing from Kasparaitis. Kasparaitis stuffs the takedown. No luck for Manganello II with that takedown attempt. Manganello II shoots in for a double leg but Kasparaitis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kasparaitis throws a head kick that misses. Kasparaitis is looking to wear down Manganello II with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Manganello II is looking to clinch but Kasparaitis is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kasparaitis cracks Manganello II with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Manganello II manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kasparaitis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Manganello II's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Manganello II is squirming around, avoiding Kasparaitis's attempts to control the action. Kasparaitis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
It looks like Alessandro Manganello II has been cut. Kasparaitis landing strikes, looking to finish! Kasparaitis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Manganello II's face.

Manganello II shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kasparaitis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kasparaitis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kasparaitis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kasparaitis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kasparaitis trying to control from half guard but Manganello II is working away. Kasparaitis stands up out of the half guard. Manganello II with a poor takedown and Kasparaitis counters by clinching up. Manganello II tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kasparaitis just stands there and leans against the cage. Kasparaitis jumps guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kasparaitis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Manganello II's guard. Kasparaitis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Manganello II has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kasparaitis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kasparaitis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Manganello II utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manganello II misses with a takedown attempt and Kasparaitis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Manganello II's guard. Kasparaitis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kasparaitis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Manganello II is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kasparaitis, into his guard. Kasparaitis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kasparaitis wants to sweep but no luck. Kasparaitis is trying to control the position but Manganello II postures up. Kasparaitis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manganello II defends it easily. Kasparaitis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Manganello II tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Kasparaitis to counter with a crisp jab. Kasparaitis checks the leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Kasparaitis. Manganello II does a little dance to reset his feet. Manganello II throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kasparaitis's waist but Kasparaitis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manganello II off to one side. Manganello II wants to clinch. Manganello II moves out of range of the leg kick from Kasparaitis. Kasparaitis throws a hook to the side of Manganello II's head but Manganello II sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Manganello II enables Kasparaitis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Manganello II manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Manganello II working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kasparaitis. Darius Kasparaitis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kasparaitis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kasparaitis preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kasparaitis working some strikes from top position. Kasparaitis drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kasparaitis seems to have locked his on tight now - Manganello II screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kasparaitis, as he picks up the win!
