Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eiji Date!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Date gets caught flat footed, as white shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Date looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
white throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Date works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
white has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

white takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
white seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Date for as long as he can get away with.

white is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. white gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. white gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. white apologises and we restart here on the feet.

white drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from white seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
white decides to stand up, so the ref orders Date to his feet.
white shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

white has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Date is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. white yanks on the arm and Date is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by white.
