Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cirianni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying James's choice of entrance music: Temper Temper by Goldie. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Cirianni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy James!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cirianni takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Cirianni closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Cirianni pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
James changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
James throws a leg kick that misses.
Cirianni shoots in looking for a takedown. James tries to sprawl out of it but Cirianni keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
James fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Cirianni shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James wants to get up but he can't break Cirianni's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

and James counters with a one-two to the body.

James stuffs the takedown.
James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
James keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
James wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Cirianni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Cirianni is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, James has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cirianni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cirianni throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cirianni off to one side.
Cirianni looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cirianni looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Danga de danga de dang - James scores with a four punch combination!
Cirianni looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Freddy James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got James winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
