PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weber has chosen The Acacia Strain - as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze shoots for a takedown but Weber saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Blaze slips a jab and a cross from Weber.
Blaze misses with an attempted mid kick.
Blaze fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weber on the side of the head.
Blaze shoots for a double leg takedown but Weber sprawls well. He's pushed Blaze's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Blaze throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Blaze is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Weber shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Weber lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Blaze has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Weber is working away from the top position though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Blaze darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Blaze shoots for a takedown but Weber saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Weber wants to clinch up but Blaze keeps it at a distance.

A close round but Scott Weber will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Blaze throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Weber.
Weber throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

so Weber counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Weber is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

I've got Weber winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
