Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Thims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Kettering (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thims kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Volbeat - Still Counting.... Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Kettering! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Kettering misses the target. Thims changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kettering looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kettering struggling a bit here. Kettering is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thims's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Thims tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kettering. Kettering should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Thims is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kettering slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kettering is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Thims seems keen to control Kettering's posture. Kettering is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kettering drops back looking for a leg! Thims is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thims manages to kick Kettering off! Kettering jumps back into Thims's guard. Kettering pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thims is keeping the position for now. Thims knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kettering on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kettering trying to control the position from guard on top but Thims is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Thims uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Kettering throws a right and a left that Thims avoids nicely. Thims tries to clinch up. Thims throws a series of punches but Kettering avoids them all with ease. Kettering throws the left hand but Thims avoids the punch easily. Kettering swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Thims misses with a body shot
and Kettering cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Jonathan Thims has been cut. A decent looking body kick lands there for Thims.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thims fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Thims is breathing heavily. Kettering moves to clinch but Thims breaks away and Thims counters with a good low kick that Kettering was not able to check. Thims shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Thims avoids the attempt from Kettering to control. Kettering is working to get back to half guard.

Kettering manages to regain half guard. Good work. Kettering is looking to control Thims's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kettering avoid being mounted? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Thims will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jonathan Thims's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Thims moves away from the strike by Kettering. Kettering fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thims throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kettering. Kettering lands a head shot. Thims defending well as Kettering loads up on a big left hand. Thims closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kettering did well to prevent Thims getting side control. The fighters are battling for position here. Kettering manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kettering is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kettering is on top in guard.
Kettering drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kettering jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thims keeping full guard, as Kettering tries to pass. Kettering passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kettering has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Thims! Kettering looking for a guillotine from mount but Thims is having none of it. Thims is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kettering locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Thims is forced to tap!
