Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gishin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers has chosen Nightmare - Chris Sheppard as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gishin Funakoshi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gishin Funakoshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Chambers! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funakoshi lands a right hook to the body.
Gishin Funakoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chambers closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Chambers fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Funakoshi checks it well. A lazy left from Funakoshi finds it's target. Chambers on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Chambers misses with a low kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Funakoshi checks a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funakoshi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Funakoshi throws an overhand right that lands on Chambers's shoulder, as Chambers tries to avoid the shot. Funakoshi jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Funakoshi scores with a jab. Chambers acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Funakoshi scores with a jab to the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Funakoshi. That snapped Chambers's head back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Funakoshi lands with a good body shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Funakoshi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Chambers finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Funakoshi scores with a nice strike. Funakoshi scores with a jab to the body. Chambers will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chambers tries to move into range but Funakoshi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Chambers takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Chambers avoids the body shot from Funakoshi.
Funakoshi connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Funakoshi misses with a wild body shot. The fighters circle momentarily. Funakoshi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Funakoshi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Funakoshi lands with a hook. Chambers tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Funakoshi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chambers has time to react. Chambers throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chambers throws a low kick but Funakoshi moves out of range easily. Funakoshi dips to his left and cracks Chambers with an uppercut! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gishin Funakoshi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Chambers takes a shot right to the bread basket. Chambers throws a leg kick but Funakoshi moved away. Gishin Funakoshi is winning the standup battle so far. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Funakoshi checks a leg kick. Funakoshi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Funakoshi, as that shot connected.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chambers on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Funakoshi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Chambers tries to work over Funakoshi's front leg with a kick but Funakoshi checks it. Funakoshi cracks Chambers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nice shot by Funakoshi. Funakoshi lands with a nice combination. Chambers backs away looking to recover.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chambers is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Funakoshi moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gishin Funakoshi!
